Phenomenal experience and extremely delicious food! I am a real down south country girl so I’m always looking for my grandmother’s, Aunt’s and uncle’s type of food. Yesterday I found my forever southern family food home. That BBq didn’t miss a beat!! We ate it down to the bone baby & that Mac n cheese was to die for, oh baby but then collards…… old school and finger licking good!! I ordered chitterlings and rice to go & let me tellllllll you…. GET OVER THERE AND SEE FOR YOURSELF BABY!! Mr DJ, Ms. Erica & Ms. Patchy is not playing. The love and Joyful spirit they pour upon you walking through the door is unmatched. You feel it in your soul and taste every bit of it through your dish. Stop on by for your southern love dishes. Don’t forget dessert either. The peach cobbler makes you wanna slap yourself. My goodness

I’m leaving a review because I can’t believe they still open. They opened up I believe four or five years ago and I remember this was the best barbecue I ever had in my life other than my grandmothers. I’m on my way tomorrow morning.

Here’s why I am in between a four and a five star. I want to note that I didn’t look at the reviews before I went in. Now that I am writing the review I see all the other reviews and it’s funny to see what people have said, people have a wide range of opinions. The Plaza area is desolate and you wouldn’t see this place riding down the main street so I was glad that my wife stumbled upon more options that we didn’t know we’re in the area. The people are very nice and the small shop is clean. Their prices are extremely affordable, and when I received my food, the portion size was really great. I had enough leftovers to eat the second day without purchasing anything the next day. That’s a win. The food came out fast, which was great. The brisket was a highlight to me as it was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. After eating it a bit I did notice that in some areas it was salty. Another reviewer pointed that out about the brisket, which may mean this is how they season it often. It’s odd because in most areas it isn’t but Certain spots got salty. I didn’t want to take a star off for it because you can easily pull back seasoning. The Brisket was truly of the best brisket I have tasted in South Atl. I would order it again just to confirm it’s goodness. The fries were good and plentiful and the price was right. Fries could have been crispier, but I’ll request that on my next visit. Since prices were so good I ordered a veggie plate also so I could try their side dishes. Collard greens were real collard greens , and so were the Black Eyed Peas. The Black Eyed Peas broth taste more like gravy than the broth I was expecting. the peas were great, but I didn’t know how to feel about the gravy like broth. The potato salad looked wetter than I prefer and when I spooned it, I saw egg yolk, and I don’t prefer egg yolk in my potato salad. However, the potato salad was delicious. No complaints. the yams have flavor in the sauce, but it didn’t push through the yams. I could taste the vanilla extract pronounced in the thin liquid as I feel that a thinner cut would allow flavor to get into the yams and the sauce could have been a bit thicker. Yams are usually packed with sugar so I could appreciate these sweet potato chunks with flavoring probably healthier for me. All things consider with price, quantity, speed, service, menu selection, and flavor. You can now see why I was in between a four and a five star. Because I want them to continue to excel I preferred to give them a five star. if they were in a better location, they would sell more easily For sure. I know every store can’t start on the main road, I get it. I just don’t love this Plaza as I never would have known they were there.

First time customer. Good portion size. Great flavor. Great customer service. $22 include tax. Got ribs, mac, greens. Ribs and greens- great. Mac and corn roll- it's ok but will get another side next time. Will try def visit again!

Let me start off by saying their customer service was great, it was my first time ordering from them and the man who took my order answered all my questions without sounding annoyed with me, I appreciate that! My food was ready when I got there and the woman who gave me my order was very nice too! When I got home and checked my food I was pleasantly surprised at the portions especially given such reasonable prices (y’all know everything is super expensive nowadays). Now I will say personally for my liking the food was missing a special “umph” when it came to seasoning (I don’t know how to explain it, but that’s just ME— don’t write them off please!) I would definitely come back and try some other options out. I definitely recommend giving them a try and have already told a few people about them. The meal was def a good bang for the buck!
